The Jyväskylä Centre for Printmaking - rezidence
The Jyväskylä Centre for Printmaking welcomes printmakers to apply for a one month residence in October / November 2012.
What we offer you?
-free accommodation at the guest room
-free working at the printshop (except plates, papers and special materials)
-a grant of 400 € for living and material costs

-at least 6 digital images of your works

The application deadline for the residence will be May 31, 2012.
The main selection criteria will be the quality of art and motivation to work in the local artists’ community.
The name of the selected artist will be published on our website by June 17, 2012. The artist will be informed personally before the date.
K.A.I.R. – Košice Artist in Residence / open call 2012
In the frame of European Capital of Culture the NGO Košice 2013 is running an international Artist-in-Residence-program for emerging artists from all over the world and out of all artistic disciplines and expressions.
What we provide
- Three month residency in Kosice, Eastern Slovakia between May and December 2012

Prix Ars Electronica Collide@CERN Artists Residency Prize
Prix Ars Electronica Collide@CERN is the new international competition for digital artists to win a residency at CERN the world’s largest particle physics laboratory in Geneva. It is the first prize to be announced as part of the new Collide@CERN artists residency programme initiated by the laboratory.
You might be a choreographer, performer, visual artist, film maker or a composer – what you all have in common is that you use the digital as the means of making your work and/or the way of presenting it.
The closing date for submission is October 31st 2011.

The root of the word responsibility is response, the first known use of the word meant ‘answerable’ to another for something. The word is a social one, based on a question or call. If we are not in dialogue, if there is no discussion or dialogue between us, if we are not demanding and demanded of, the concept of responsibility falls away.
This open call can be seen as an invitation, a possibility or a challenge.
